High-profile family wealth disputes, such as those involving the Agnelli, Hinduja, Murdoch, and Safra families, go far beyond law and facts—they are about relationships, culture, emotions, values, and legacies. This panel of mediators, arbitrators, lawyers, and family office experts explores in what sense mediation works and is valuable for resolving such disputes and how mediation and arbitration complement each other: mediation engages broader issues and stakeholders while arbitration provides legal certainty. The discussion will show how combining both approaches can preserve family cohesion, protect reputations, and turn conflicts into constructive solutions.

About the Swiss Arbitration Summit 2026: Shaping the Future of Arbitration Together

The Swiss Arbitration Summit brings together global experts and professionals to explore the latest developments in arbitration.

Now in its third year, the 2026 edition will be hosted at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, offering a platform for insightful discussions, networking and thought leadership that will shape the future of dispute resolution. As part of the experience, attendees can also enjoy a weekend in the Swiss Alps, filled with fun, networking, and outdoor activities – an informal extension of the summit to foster connections in a relaxed, scenic setting.

Des valeurs autrefois considérées comme sûres sont remises en question dans la compétition mondiale entre les nations. Nous vivons des tensions et des contradictions croissantes. Une nouvelle culture de négociation est-elle en train de s’imposer dans l’économie ? Comment est-il possible de rester coopératif dans des situations de concurrence et de conflit?

Des conférenciers de renom iront à la recherche de réponses à ces questions dans des discours et des ateliers captivants, tout en familiarisant les participants avec les techniques clés. Un évènement incontournable pour toute personne professionnellement impliquée dans la gestion des conflits, la médiation et le leadership.

La conférence sera ouverte par l’ Ambassadeur Tim Enderlin, Chef du Département Paix et Droits de l’Homme au Département fédéral des affaires étrangères (DFAE). Parmi les autres intervenants figurent :

Les animateurs d’atelier seront : Stephan Auerbach, Jean-Martin Droz, Irma Endres, Andrea Hartmann-Piraudeau, Julia Jung, George Kohlrieser, Evelynet Peter, Marco Ronzani, Stephanie Schoss, Urs Weber-Stecher, Sascha Weigel et Ljubjana Wüstehube. Vous avez également la possibilité de participer à un événement de simulation (Markus Berg, Susann Bongers, Daniel Girsberger et Gabriela Renggli), d’influencer le cours d’une médiation et d’intervenir.

Le vendredi soir, les participants auront l’occasion d’approfondir leurs échanges à l’occasion d’un dîner festif (nombre de participants limité).

L’événement débutera le vendredi 5 septembre 2025 à l’hôtel Radisson de Lucerne. La deuxième journée se déroulera à l’Université de Lucerne, située à proximité.
